Who We Are
Flame retardants belong to a diverse family of naturally occurring and man-made chemical compounds used to reduce the flammability of polymer formulations. Because the risk of fire can occur in many different situations and across many applications, flame retardants can be found in everything from electronic devices to household furnishings. Flame retardant additives are commonly used in the thermoplastic, thermosets, textiles and coatings industries. The correct flame retardant additive is selected based on the polymer being used, compounding process conditions, temperatures and the service requirements of the finished part.
Flame retardants offer a powerful advantage to many applications, but should be selected with the utmost care and safety to be sure of their suitability for the application. 2018
On January 1, 2018 Asheville Lubricants EPP, LLC announces the acquisition of the assets, product lines, and intellectual properties of Flame Chk Inc. The acquisition and transition reinforce Asheville's current position as a dynamic distributor of the ICL Fyrol, Victawet and Phosphlex product lines while adding a broad range of Flame Chk products.

2017
In August of 2017 Asheville Lubricants EPP, LLC announced the opening of a new dedicated facility in Piedmont, South Carolina. The new facility enhances Asheville’s ability to serve its customers with even quicker turnaround times for shipments and a centralized responsive hub of operations.

In October of 2014, Asheville Lubricants EPP, LLC announced the acquisition of the assets, product lines, and intellectual properties of Asheville Lubricants & Chemicals, Inc. and the appointment of Steve Woolard as Chairman Emeritus and John Friddle as President. The acquisition and transition reinforce Asheville's continuing commitment to having top management resources that our customers can rely, and having the financial footing for future expansion.
